Your Best Work Deserves to Be Seen

Posted

A successful energy or environmental initiative can change how a facility operates, how a product performs, or how a company makes decisions. Yet the people behind that work often move straight to the next challenge without taking time to document what they accomplished.

The 2027 Environment+Energy Leader Awards offer teams a reason to do just that. The program recognizes products, projects, startups, and organizational initiatives with meaningful results in energy, environmental performance, and sustainability.

Recognition That Serves a Business Purpose

Preparing an entry asks a team to answer useful questions: What problem did we solve? What changed? How do we know? Those answers can become valuable well beyond an awards submission. They can help a company explain its work to customers, employees, partners, and leadership in concrete terms.

Recognition can also give the people who delivered the work a moment in the spotlight. An energy manager who persuaded colleagues to change a process, a product team that brought an idea to market, or partners who made a difficult project possible all have a story worth telling. Independent review offers an opportunity for that story to be considered by people who understand the field.

Find the Right Story to Tell

Start with an achievement you can explain clearly. A product entry might show how a solution performs for its users. A project entry might trace an implementation from its original challenge to documented results. A startup might demonstrate why its approach has potential. A Spotlight entry might show how leadership, collaboration, or resilience made progress possible.

The strongest starting point is often the work your team can support with evidence, even if it has received little attention outside the organization. Gather the people who know the results, choose the category that best fits the achievement, and begin putting the story on paper.
