ACCIONA Joins Schneider Electric’s NEO Network to Speed the Transition to Clean Power

ACCIONA Energy and Schneider Electric today announced that the renewables company has joined Schneider’s New Energy Opportunities (NEO) Network, a community of organizations committed to buying and developing renewable energy and clean technologies around the world.

ACCIONA will connect with commercial and industrial buyers in the Schneider Electric-moderated NEO Network, broadening the array of opportunities and helping speed the transition to clean, sustainable power.

“Joining NEO Network is an important, strategic, global initiative for ACCIONA,” said Santiago Gómez Ramos, ACCIONA Energy Management Director. “The Network’s centralized range of services and extensive market reach will help us accelerate our renewable energy offerings for corporations. And, as a result, we should be able to fast-track projects. A development that might have previously taken three years to engineer, finance and build now has the potential to be online in a year.”

ACCIONA owns and operates more than 9,000 megawatts of renewable capacity in 15 countries, which generates over 20 terawatt-hours of green energy a year. Additionally, the company has more than 1,000 MW under construction in wind and solar PV. The company’s exclusive focus is sustainability; for four consecutive years, it has been named the greenest electric utility in the world by Energy Intelligence, an independent energy market consultant.

NEO Network was launched in 2016 by Schneider Electric Energy & Sustainability Services (ESS), the world’s largest corporate renewable energy consultancy. ESS has advised clients on more than 4.5 gigawatts of large-scale renewable PPAs throughout North America, Europe, Asia and Australia. NEO Network serves the needs of more than 150 multinational corporations and solution providers in these regions, with the objective to accelerate renewable and cleantech decision-making.

Through NEO Network, ACCIONA will gain access to market reports alongside increased reach and exposure to the corporate buying community, enabling the company to innovate and advance renewable energy transactions worldwide.

In August, Schneider Electric introduced Accelerator Access for its New Energy Opportunities (NEO) Network, an online community that connects companies with resources to efficiently identify, evaluate and advance renewable energy transactions and technologies.

Commercial and industrial (C&I) businesses can now join the NEO Network at no cost, receive offers from developers, such as below-market pricing, and preferred terms and conditions, and access industry experts, peers and tools to make smart energy decisions and quickly meet sustainability goals.
