Invenergy-Logo Invenergy has signed a 100 MW wind power purchase agreement with Equinix to provide the company with renewable energy for its data centers across North America.

The deal comes the week after Invenergy said it will provide 125 MW of wind power to Owens Corning. Fuel Fix reports that the deals will help Invenergy build a 300 MW wind farm near Lubbock, TX. Last year, the site – which says that Invenergy is "easily one of the most active companies building new power generation in Texas" – reported that in 2014 the company finished building the Miami Wind farm north of Amarillo and the Goldwaite Wind Energy Project north of Austin.

This year, it put the finishing touches on the Rattlesnake wind project southeast of Midland and the Ector County Energy Center (a gas-fired plant) near Odessa. Two other plants in Texas will soon be under construction, the story said.
