Climate FieldView has released new features for farmers evaluating crop protection products and fertility applications, allowing its customers to best evaluate their input decisions and improve overall crop production.

FieldView’s Field Region Reports are a popular tool amongst the company’s customers as it helps farmers analyze seed performance and management practices in specific areas within their fields.

Enhancements to this tool allow for performance assessment of applied products, such as herbicides, fungicides, and fertilizers. The platform also allows farmers to measure their crop performance with data analysis capabilities. More additions to the FieldView technology are also expected to be released later this fall.

Additional improvements were also made to the FieldView Cab app. For one, farmers are also now able to generate and export yield analysis reports to share directly from the FieldView app. They may also access improved seed drill compatibility, better cloud sync, and create tillage maps, all of which are helpful in adopting regenerative farming practices.

Regenerative farming practices have become more widespread for their potential to reverse climate change-caused environmental damage by rebuilding soil organic matter.

Bayer’s ForGround Platform Made Accessible Through FieldView

Bayer’s regenerative agriculture program, ForGround, is a new platform that was created to incentivize U.S. farmers to engage in regenerative farming practices.

Since many farmers are paying more attention to the emerging carbon credit market, ForGround offers farmers payments and other incentives for implementing reduced tillage or cover crop practices. FieldView’s system makes it easier for farmers to use ForGround since the technology can keep track of tillage path and acreage tilled.

“Our goal across Bayer Crop Science is to deliver a best-in-class experience for farmers,’ said Brandon Rinkenberger, head of global customer experience and enablement for Bayer’s Crop Science Division. "One of the ways we do this is by improving FieldView’s capabilities to maximize their investments. Making it easier to tabulate and analyze results helps our customers validate their input decisions, giving them confidence that translates into higher ROI and stronger operations.”

FieldView, a product from Bayer’s digital farming arm, Climate LLC, is already used on more than 220 million acres globally. Especially with its new updates, the product can offer farmers a deeper look at their fields in order to make efficient operating decisions, minimize risk, and optimize yields.
