(Photo Credit: Beko US)Energy Star announced the 2018 award winners for outstanding achievements in energy efficiency. The list of 163 includes five product brand owners for Partner of the Year. Another 14 Partner of the Year product companies received recognition for sustained excellence.
“The 2018 Energy Star Award winners lead their industries in the production and sale of energy-efficient products and services, and in the development and adoption of strategies that provide substantial energy and money savings in the buildings where we live and work,” Energy Star says.
Winners across categories were selected from among thousands of partners. The 2018 Energy Star Partner of the Year product brand owner winners are:
Each company had key achievements in 2017 that Energy Star highlighted online. Air King maintained a year-over-year increase in Energy Star-certified bathroom exhaust fans and range hood sales with over 50% of ventilation sales coming from Energy Star certified products.
Beko demonstrated “an unwavering commitment to efficient product design by achieving Energy Star certification for 100% of its product lineup — a 10-point increase over its 90% product certification rate in 2016.”
GE Lighting maintained certification for 620 Energy Star LED models, with continued sales growth year over year. The brand owner also reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 18% across all its facilities from a 2011 baseline, with the goal of reducing emissions by 20% in 2020.
HP earned Energy Star certification for more than 790 personal system and printer models, representing 90% of its product portfolio.
Kenmore increased the percentage of total sales dollars from Energy Star-certified appliances by over 7% compared to the prior year, and sold more than 1.3 million Energy Star-certified appliances through its stores and online retail partners.
