LONGi has raised the bar in solar technology with the debut of the Hi-MO X10 module at the Rolex Shanghai Masters. This latest offering combines advanced HPBC 2.0 technology and proprietary TaiRay wafers to deliver industry-leading efficiency, durability, and aesthetic quality, setting a new standard for the global distributed solar market.

Breaking Ground in Efficiency: HPBC 2.0 and TaiRay Wafers

The Hi-MO X10 is powered by HPBC 2.0, LONGi’s next-generation cell technology, which significantly boosts efficiency through innovations in substrates, passivation, and manufacturing processes. Since launching HPBC 1.0 two years ago, LONGi has increased efficiency to over 26.6% in mass production, creating a substantial generational gap with competitors and delivering a 1.5% leap within just two years.

This leap in technology is further enhanced by LONGi’s high-performance TaiRay silicon wafers. These advanced N-type wafers boast concentrated high-efficiency cell grading, low impurities, and improved breakage resistance, all of which contribute to a stronger and more productive module. The Hi-MO X10’s unique zero-busbar (0BB) structure also eliminates visible gridlines on the front and back, enhancing both efficiency and aesthetics.

Built to Last: Reliability and Resistance for a Changing Climate

LONGi’s Hi-MO X10 is equipped to endure harsh conditions, from UV radiation to extreme temperatures and high humidity. The unique “soft breakdown design” mitigates risks associated with shading and hotspots, reducing power loss by 70% compared to conventional designs and lowering hotspot temperatures by 28%. This innovation enables the Hi-MO X10 to reroute current flow efficiently, reducing damage risks and improving energy production.

The module’s anti-aging capabilities allow it to perform at peak levels under challenging conditions, with a low temperature coefficient and resistance to UV exposure, thermal cycling, and humidity. Designed for reliability, Hi-MO X10 has an impressive degradation rate of just 0.35% annually, ensuring that it maintains high performance even decades into its lifecycle. With a 15-year product warranty and a 30-year power warranty, LONGi backs its durability claims with long-term assurances.

LONGi’s TaiRay wafers are designed with durability in mind, offering 16% greater bending strength than standard products. While the industry trend moves toward thinner wafers, LONGi’s thicker design choices enhance structural integrity, reducing the risk of micro-cracks by 87% throughout transport and installation.

A Bold Vision for the Future of Solar

According to Chairman Zhong Baoshen, LONGi’s commitment to BC technology is unwavering. “We believe BC technology will dominate crystalline silicon cells. This technology pathway aligns with LONGi’s mission to bring efficient, resilient, and sustainable solar power to every market.”
