Announcing the 2025 E+E Leader Product & Project Award Winners

Today, Environment+Energy Leader is proud to announce the winners of the 2025 E+E Leader Awards, recognizing excellence in products and projects from companies that are advancing energy management, sustainability, and environmental leadership across sectors.

Now in its 13th year, the Awards program has served as a benchmark for innovation and measurable impact. This year, we’re also launching the new dedicated E+E Leader Awards website—a central hub for all things related to the program, including resources, entry information, insights, and, of course, the winners.

An independent panel of industry experts scored 68 winners across product and project categories, using rigorous criteria. Submissions scoring 4.0 or higher on a 1–5 scale were designated winners, based on innovation, scalability, measurable results, and relevance. The highest-scoring entry in each category was named that category’s Judges' Choice winner.

2025 Award Categories and Judging Criteria

The E+E Leader Awards honor achievements across six distinct categories:

Products of the Year

Business + Infrastructure: Recognizing physical technologies like advanced HVAC systems, lighting, and manufacturing equipment that drive operational and environmental improvements.

Consumer + Residential: Celebrating sustainability efforts in retail, home goods, and packaging—both consumer-facing and operational.

Software + Cloud:  Honoring digital solutions that deliver quantifiable improvements in energy, sustainability and ESG outcomes. 

Projects of the Year

Energy Innovation: Highlighting achievements in renewable energy, efficiency upgrades, and pioneering energy management strategies.

Environmental Impact: Showcasing initiatives aligned with ESG goals, emphasizing footprint reduction, equity and sustainable outcomes.

Software Implementation: Recognizing effective software rollouts with demonstrated performance and integration success.

Innovations and Impact: A Snapshot of This Year's Winners

From recycled flooring and glass insulation to cloud-based platforms for energy and EHS&S management, this year’s winners reflect a broad and inspiring cross-section of impact. Many also addressed sector-specific challenges, including sustainability in oil and gas—advancing safety, operations, and environmental protection.
